The Independence is a quiet paved trail suitable for all bikes. There is a gap in the middle of the trail when passing under Rt 1.

Stoneham - Wedgemere, Winchester
The Tri-Community is a quiet paved trail suitable for all bikes. There is an on-road section on quiet roads in Winchester, and on Washington street where you can ride on the sidewalk.
Salem/Marblehead Trail
Salem - Marblehead
This Trail is a paved trail in the city of Salem, but gravel in Marblehead. The gravel is not the best there is, but if you slow down, it is suitable for some road bikes.
Reformatory Branch Trail

This Trail is a packed gravel trail. The gravel for the majority of the trail is suitable for most bikes, but after the last street crossing, it gets a bit worse.

This Trail is a packed gravel trail. The gravel for most of the trail is suitable for most bikes, but after the gate, it gets much worse and is very sandy.
Cape Cod Rail Trail
Yarmouth - Chatham & Wellfleet
The CCRT is a very touristy and often busy rail trail on Cape Cod. It has 2 Branches on the east side, one to Chatham and the other to Wellfleet. This trail is a great way to get around the cape, so you don't have to deal with parking.
North Central Rail Trail
Winchendon - Gardner
The NCRT is a very quiet paved rail trail, although it turns to a very rough gravel trail only suitable for Mountain Bikes after crossing Rt MA-140 in Gardner.

This trail is a very quiet paved rail trail, and is featured by its beautiful views of the Bay State's tallest Mountain, Mt Greylock.
Somerville Community Trail
Lechmere - Alewife, Cambridge
The Somerville Community Trail is a new paved trail with ideal conditions between Lechemere and Magoun Square, which runs alongside the Green Line. The trail connects with the Minuteman RT & the Fitchburg Cutoff Bikepath at Alewife and the Dr. Paul Dudley White (Charles River) Path at Lechmere.
Dr. Paul Dudley White (Charles River) Trail
Boston North Station - Waltham
This trail runs along both sides of the Charles River in Boston & Cambridge, but when it enters Watertown, it alternates on which side and changes from a paved path to a packed gravel path.
